Who We are
The Alganesh International Veteran Tegaru Women Association (AITVWA) is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to supporting female veterans from Tigray, Ethiopia, known as Tegaru women, who have served in defense forces or contributed to the region’s struggle for peace, freedom, and human rights. Its mission, as reflected in the logo and available online resources, centers on promoting peace, empowerment, rehabilitation, and recognition for Tegaru women veterans, with a particular emphasis on storytelling, advocacy, and mobilizing resources for their well-being.
